Goddard's Pies
Limited
Hand made and hand baked pies for wholesale and trade orders.
The origins of pie and mash can be traced back to Victorian times and the essence of pie and mash has changed very little since then. Family run pieshops continue to make their pies fresh each day on the premises.
Whilst the pies were originally made with cooked eels, now pies are filled with minced beef. Many pie shops offer a choice of pies from traditional minced beef, steak and kidney and occasionally a vegetarian option. If you are lucky there may also be a sweet pie selection.

Sadly pie and mash shops are in decline, mainly due to high London rents, as the vast majority of pie and mash shops originated in East and South London. Fortunately, many are still thriving with some moving out to the home counties and beyond. There are a variety of kent pie and mash restaurants still serving this great British tradition.
